Lock in Gas Prices at $2.99 a Gallon for the Next Three Years

Chrysler has announced there Let's Refuel America promotion. Anyone who purchases or leases a Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep® vehicle from May 7 through June 2, 2008 and has a valid MasterCard or Visa credit card is eligible to receive the promotion.

The reason you have to have a valid visa or mastercard is because chrysler will issue you a special card linked to your mastercard or visa account. I am sure this is because these credit card giants are getting some sort of kick back for this. Not to mention all the people who forget to pay of their balances at the end of the month. The more they can get people to pay with credit cards the better right! Anyways it is still a great offer as long as you keep on top of how much you are spending at the pump.

The promotion is valid for three years and you are aloud enough fuel at $2.99 per gallon to travel up to 12,000 miles per year. I am not really sure how many miles per gallon they are figuring for the 12,000 per year part. Perhaps it is contingent on the type of vehicle you buy or something like that.

Nevertheless, If you are in the market for a new vehicle then this is probably an offer worth considering since gas prices are set to hit $5.00 per gallon or higher this summer. And god only knows what it will be in the next three years.
